Amid the chaos, Scotland takes historic step | Special Reports | Guardian Unlimited Politics
Last year I interned for the Scottish National Party. It was a great experience. There are a lot of really good people in the SNP and it's exciting to see such great results. It's a huge jump from the previous election in 2003. They almost doubled their seats in Parliament. Unfortunately, for the SNP the Labour Party did not lose as many seats as the SNP would have liked.
The SNP cannot form a majority and is now looking to form a coalition BUT even if they do it will be just a slim majority. This means that an SNP government can easily fall, and that means that elections will again take place.
